These work by using the principle of loosening the hair by their action.  This is quite easy to use and not messy or difficult like handling wax. But, these carry the risk of irritation to the skin. Also, the hair that is removed in this fashion tends to grow back quite quickly.

If you are averse to shaving off the hair, you can even try to trim the hair to a shorter length. This will not only make it look good it will avoid the risks of cuts and itching. Whatever method you use, be sure to use some cream or an aftershave to soothe the area and prevent any itching from setting in. It would be a very unpleasant experience if you have to be in public and feel like scratching.
